Good customer service, I could chat with their rep who answer my questions. One of the reasons I picked them in the first place is because this broker has been in business for a long time, probably one of the first few to offer retail forex trading. If they were bad they would have disappeared long ago. Anyway, so far so good, no problem with their PC platform. |

I've heard lots of bad rumors about FXCM but I've had no problems with this broker so far. I started strading 4 years ago and used this broker along with forex.com. They had different platforms but both worked just fine, without major issues. I lost money because of bad trades, not because of the brokers, so can't say they're bad because of that. Lately I started trading fx again and use FXCM, they did have some improvement with new PC platform. With some wider spread and slippage at news time, but that doesn't affect my trading strategy so far. Can't believe I'm giving them an excellent review... well, just got pissed at other whining losers! |

Recently I find their signals/analysis very helpful. Just a 2 days ago I locked in 500 pips on GBP/JPY short order, thanks to their prediction that Yen would surge and European currencies would fall. I didn't blindly follow their analysis, but it did help in making my trades. |

I used to trade with FXCM without major issues, until they forced all traders to adopt their "no dealing desk" system a year ago. After that their platform is a joke. They only tell you the benefits (which I doubt there would be any) that spreads are narrowed and executions are fast. But that is nothing further from the truth! What I experienced was horrible, the slippage was outrageous, up to almost 100 pips at some point in time. I had 3 separate occasions when the rate tables showed that my limit orders were hit with extra 10 pips, but the trades were never closed. 2 of these trades resulted in a loss with stop-loss levels being hit. You all know how hard it is to get a winning trade in forex, yet with these guys it becomes IMPOSSIBLE! I believe they're getting desperate, making money out of innocent newbies, because when traders gain experience like I did, they take their business somewhere else. |

I've been with FXCM for a little over 2 years now. I have absolutely no problems with them. The platform is good, except that it's not so convenient in terms of location. You got to install their software on your computer. I travel sometimes & usually stay out of market during the time away from home. Other than that, I have no problems with their execution of my orders. I could even enter trades at news release without issues. I lost more than gained, but it's not their fault. |

There platform ok, but since they switched to no dealing desk things got out of hand lots of time. My targets missed several times result in losses, they just lost my vote! |
